Sacha Jafri

Sacha Jafri (*1977 in London) is a British artist with Indian-Pakistani roots who is internationally renowned for his monumental paintings and socially engaged art projects. He studied at Eton College and Oxford University as well as at the Slade School of Fine Art in London.

After taking the international art world by storm as the winner of the “World Artist of the Year” title and now described by Forbes as “one of the most profitable investments in art”, Jafri sold his work “The Journey of Humanity ” – the second most expensive painting ever sold at auction by a living artist – for an impressive 62 million US dollars (March 2021). Jafri is also regarded as the most philanthropic artist of our time and has already raised over 140 million US dollars for charity projects that are particularly close to his heart.

The youngest artist ever to have a 20-year retrospective world tour of international museums dedicated to him, he counts among his collectors personalities such as Eva Longoria, Will Smith, Steve Harvey, Roger Federer, members of the British royal family and the royal family of the United Arab Emirates, Virat Kohli, George Clooney, David Beckham, Bill Gates, Sir Richard Branson, Barack Obama and many more.

Jafri is considered one of the “most dynamic and inspiring speakers” in the world and reaches a global media audience of over 3 billion people with his large-scale projects. His most important initiatives include:

  • The first official artwork to be placed on the moon to raise funds for our planet’s four most important causes: Education, Health, Sustainability and Equality.
  • “The Art Maze”, a collection of 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites – a joint project with UNESCO to mark its 50th anniversary.
  • “Jafri meets Rolls-Royce ” – the first collaboration between an artist and Rolls-Royce.
  • “The Five Elements”, realized in collaboration with the Global Gift Foundation.
  • “Our New World”, a special commission for amfAR on the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival.
