The work is a modern exploration of identity, masquerade or the fusion of man and mechanics (in the sense of Futurism). The mask-like depiction of the face in combination with geometric elements is reminiscent of African tribal art, which strongly influenced artists such as Picasso and the Cubists. It radiates an enigmatic yet majestic atmosphere.
